Crypto.com fees: what the app charges in the EU
Crypto.com serves the EU through Foris DAX MT Limited, which holds a MiCA licence from the Malta Financial Services Authority. In the Crypto.com App you pay a 0.80% fee per purchase, and because Crypto.com sells to you from its own inventory, the price also contains a spread that it does not publish. Card purchases cost up to 4%, while SEPA deposits are free.
Crypto.com does not publish the markup in its app, so we cannot compare the app fairly with other platforms (as of 12 October 2026, 20:01 CEST).

How the app prices your purchase
The Crypto.com App is not an exchange where you meet other buyers and sellers. Crypto.com's EU entity deals on its own account: it sells you crypto from its own inventory and hedges its position on other venues. ESMA's register reflects this. Foris DAX MT is authorised to exchange crypto for money and for other crypto, to execute and pass on orders, and to hold and transfer crypto, but not to operate a trading platform.
You pay in two ways:
- A fee of 0.80% on every cash-to-crypto purchase and every crypto-to-crypto swap.
- A spread. In its conflict of interest disclosure under MiCA, Crypto.com writes that it "may buy crypto-assets from a client at one price and hedge its exposure at a better price, retaining the spread as profit", which "can result in hidden costs to the client". The same document says spreads are disclosed to clients in advance, but its EEA fee table gives no percentage for them.
On €100 from your euro balance, the fee alone is €0.80. The spread comes on top of that.
Why we show Crypto.com without a figure
Our method ranks platforms by how much crypto you receive after all costs. With an unpublished spread we cannot calculate that honestly, so the Crypto.com App appears in the comparison with an explanation instead of a number. Crypto.com also runs a separate Exchange with an order book; it is not part of our comparison.
Card, SEPA and withdrawal costs
| What | Cost | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| SEPA deposit | Free | €1 to €1,000,000 per transfer, about 1 business day |
| Debit or credit card purchase | Up to 4% | Weekly limits apply |
| SEPA withdrawal | €1 | Minimum €80, maximum €100,000 a day and €500,000 a month |
| Sending crypto to another Crypto.com user | Free | |
| Crypto withdrawal to an external wallet | Varies per coin and network |
Deposits must come from a bank account in your own name; transfers from joint accounts can be held. Before your first withdrawal you need to have made at least one deposit. For card purchases Crypto.com publishes only the maximum of 4%, not the rate you will actually pay.
Licence and availability
Foris DAX MT Limited has been authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority since 27 January 2025, and ESMA's register shows the licence passported to all 30 EEA countries. None of those countries is on Crypto.com's list of restricted locations for the app (dated 12 May 2026), although the French overseas department of Mayotte is. Your cash account and the Crypto.com Visa card are provided by Foris MT Limited, a separate e-money institution also supervised in Malta. Products from other group companies fall outside these licences.
Crypto.com's proof of reserves page still shows a check by Mazars with balances as of 7 December 2022; we found no newer report. How Crypto.com's licence compares with the others is set out on our MiCA-licensed exchanges page.
Who Crypto.com suits
The app bundles buying, a card and other services in one place, and SEPA deposits cost nothing. The trade-off is pricing: besides the 0.80% fee, an unpublished spread means you cannot work out the full cost before you buy, and euro withdrawals start at €80. To see what other platforms charge for the same purchase, check the live comparison or a coin page such as bitcoin or cardano.
Questions about Crypto.com
How much are Crypto.com fees?
For EEA customers the Crypto.com App charges 0.80% when you buy crypto with cash and 0.80% when you swap one coin for another. Crypto.com also earns on the spread, the difference between its buy price and the price at which it covers the trade, and that amount is not published.
Does Crypto.com charge for SEPA deposits?
No. A euro deposit by SEPA bank transfer is free, from €1 up to €1,000,000, as long as the account is in your own name. Your bank may charge its own fee, for example if you send from a non-euro account.
What does it cost to buy on Crypto.com with a card?
Crypto.com's fee table for EEA customers lists debit and credit card purchases at "up to 4%". It gives no exact rate, so you only see the actual fee when you buy.
How much does it cost to withdraw euros from Crypto.com?
A SEPA withdrawal costs €1. The minimum is €80, and you can withdraw up to €100,000 a day and €500,000 a month. You need to have made at least one euro deposit before you can withdraw.
Is Crypto.com regulated in the EU?
Yes. Foris DAX MT Limited has been authorised as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA by the Malta Financial Services Authority since 27 January 2025. ESMA's register shows the licence covering all 30 EEA countries.
Why does the comparison not show a cost for the Crypto.com App?
We only rank a platform when we know every cost. Crypto.com publishes its 0.80% fee but not its spread, so we cannot calculate how much crypto you would receive. The app is shown with that explanation instead of a figure.
